Basics

If it is your first box and you have chosen to start your subscription immediately then your first box will be sent out within 3-5 working days, subject to availability. 

All further boxes will ship in line with other subscribers around the 15-20th of each month.

Yes of course!

Many of our past boxes can be purchased on our online shop here: https://shop.thebiscuitbaron.co.uk/ which contains all the fun of our regular boxes but is a one-off purchase and not a subscription. You can also just buy a few packets if you wish!

Each box you will include biscuits from a different country. Specifically you will receive:- 

  • Up to 8 full-size biscuit packets with a variety of textures & flavours
  • An A4 booklet with fun facts, history and puzzles on the country and biscuits
  • A score card to rate your biscuits
  • Facts on the selected country
  • Fully tracked shipping (UK)

You can update your address / delivery details in your account membership area. 

Please note, edits must take place before the 1st of the month to be applied to the next month's box. E.g. an address change made on the 8th June will not pull through to our system for your box being sent on the 15th June, however will apply to your July box.

Troubleshooting:

  1. If it's you're first time logging in, click 'forgot password' and you'll be sent an email to set this up.
  2. Double check it's the correct email address being used to log in.
  3. If you're still having trouble, get in touch and we'll do our best to help. 

The Biscuit Baron is a subscription box, made for adventurers and biscuit lovers alike! Each month you’ll receive a selection of biscuits and tea-time snacks from around the world (a different country each month) helping you experience the tastes and traditions from each place celá zpráva.

Billing & Payment

We choose to use the popular and secure checkout option called Stripe. This is a widely used payment provider used by many, including huge companies such as Amazon, ASOS, Booking.com and Zoom.

Unfortunately PayPal comes with large fees that as a small business we can't take on at the moment, as well as opening us up to scams which as a smaller company we are more vulnerable to.

Rest assured your payments are safe and secure, but if we can help further put your mind at ease just drop us a message.

Yes, of course! If you’ve purchased, for example, a 3 month subscription paying upfront and payment was successful, you can cancel right away if you know you don’t want to renew it. We will still send out your 3 months’ worth of boxes.

Don't worry - there's no complex cancellation process or limited methods to do so, just log in to your account, navigate to your active subscriptions and click cancel. You'll get an email once it's all confirmed 🙂 If you have any issues please get in touch.

This will depend on your subscription chosen.

For 1 month rolling subscriptions: you will be charged for your first box instantly when you sign up for your first box and then charged automatically on the 1st of each month for all future boxes. Your payments will continuously renew unless you cancel your subscription.

For 3, 6 and 12 month subscriptions: you will be charged the full amount at the time of purchase which will then renew on the 1st of the month after you have received your last box.

Past boxes can be purchased on our online shop which do not autorenew. https://shop.thebiscuitbaron.co.uk/

Unfortunately once a box has been shipped we cannot offer returns due to the perishable nature of the product.

If something has gone wrong, get in touch with us via the online web chat and we will try to put it right.

  1. Log in on thebiscuitbaron.co.uk with your username and password in the Membership Area (you may need to click "forgot password" to set up a password if it's your first time logging in)
  2. Select the 'subscriptions' section
  3. Select the subscription that you would like to cancel
  4. Locate the "Cancel" button below your tracking details

Please note if you have signed up to a yearly pay-monthly plan, as per the web page on sign-up, you can't cancel until month 11. You agreed to a yearly plan instead of our monthly plans, so we cannot offer early cancellations. For more details on this please see our T&Cs.

To cancel your subscription you have to locate your subscription from within your My Account section of the website. If you have done this but the "cancel" button is not visible, this is usually due to you not being in your cancellation window. For our 12 month paid monthly plan (£14.99) this will be available after your 11th renewal. All other plans can be cancelled at anytime. 

If you think your in your cancellation window but do not have access to the cancel button please reach out to support who can help with this. 

Log in to your account membership area where you can edit your personal details including payment details and addresses.

If you purchase just before the 1st, your plan may renew in a few days as all renewal days are on the 1st of the month. Payment comes out on the 1st, for your box being sent the 15th so there will still be a space between the 2 boxes arriving.

As stated at checkout, our renewal date for all plans is the 1st of the month, so if you order near the end of the month this may result in two payments close together. This renewal means you are now in line with all of our subscriptions and are due to get next month's brand new box with everyone else which arrives around the 18-19th of the month. 🙂

Delivery

We provide parcel tracking where possible, and this can take up to 24 hours to update after despatch.

Please note at times the tracking may sit on one status for a while but all boxes should arriving with 5 working days. Please only get in touch after 5 working days to allow as much time as possible for the delivery teams to get your parcel to you!

Delivery times can fluctuate from 3 - 5 working days for all areas across the UK so do be patient! 🙂 If you think there is an error outside of delivery taking a little longer do get in touch.

Although many of our boxes arrive within 3 working days, boxes can take up to 5 working days in the UK. This can feel longer if the weekend falls in between so please be patient! If you think there is an error please do get in touch.

For addresses outside of the UK postage can take up to 7 working days.

Please note: due to dramatic postage price increases we have temporarily suspended new orders to Europe and the USA. We hope to have this option back as soon as we can.

We ship with Royal Mail mostly but also may ship with Yodel and Evri where required.

Yes, of course! If you’ve purchased, for example, a 3 month subscription and payment was successful, you can cancel right away if you know you don’t want to renew it. We will still send out your 3 months’ worth of boxes, as all plans and therefore boxes are pre paid. 🙂

As per our terms and conditions we cannot class a parcel as lost until after 4 weeks have passed since the shipping date. If you suspect that the issue may be around an incorrect address then it may be worth reaching out to our courier direct who can assist with any inflight changes.

Sometimes boxes may get delayed or things may go wrong with the post. If you have not received your box in 5 working days from the 15th of ordering a subscription box, or from when you ordered one of the boxes from our store, get in touch via the online web form and we will be happy to help.

At the moment we currently deliver for free to the UK, and for an additional cost to the USA.

We also ship to selected countries in Europe - enter your address at checkout for details.

Postage in the UK normally takes 3-4 working days after despatch but can take up to 5 working days (excluding weekends). For all International orders this is usually within 7 working days. 

Occasionally we may not be able to ship on the 15th (e.g. if it falls on a Sunday!) but will aim to have your box out to you as close to this date as possible. Don’t worry we will email you to let you know if there is going to be a significant delay!

Delivery is completely free of charge for customers in the UK and is sent fully tracked with a courier.

Postage cost for the USA is a flat fee, though subject to change as our courier costs can fluctuate.

Occasionally we may ship with Royal Mail and other delivery partners in the UK.

Please note, shipping outside the UK and USA for new orders is temporarily paused while we work on the best solution post-Brexit.

All subscriptions can be tracked at order-tracking after despatch. Just enter your order number (which will be in your order confirmation email).

You can also track you subscription in your membership area.

Other

Each biscuit comes with information on their ingredients but unfortunately as we are buying from many different manufacturers overseas we can not guarantee that the products will be allergen free. For those with dietary restrictions or preferences it is the responsibility of the purchaser/consumer to determine if they are happy to consume the biscuits.

We provide ingredients in English, and most of the time English ingredients are on the packaging also and both should be checked just in case.
